Best of its class

Amazing graphics, engaging gameplay. Reminds me of Star Trek. Lots of additional downloadable levels.

Update broke it on ipad2

This has been a great fun space sim. The recent update added even more to the game play. But I am no longer able to play it on my ipad2. It keeps on crashing :( please fix.

Great, game, but fix e controls!!

When using an ios7 controller, the y axis isnt inverted. It makes it near impossible to fly, please fix this, its unplayable with a controller.

LoveHate

I love this game. Its great with lots of fast action and beautiful art rendering. I hate this game. I guite recently upgraded to IOS 8.0.2. Now it crashes every time I try to open it on my iPad gen 4. This is a rip. What great hopes I had for it have now crashed & burned. So the guestion is, are you gonna fix this. If you do fix It, my rating for you will go higher.

iOS8 Crashes

Strike Wing is a great game, thank you for recent fixes! Plays great!

Floating Point Control Issues

I think this might eventually become a great game someday if the developer actually believes in it enough to fix the problems and make improvements. The graphics are pretty good, the animation is smooth, but the ship designs are clunky. Go back and watch a few good sci-fi movies to get an idea of what a starship is supposed to look like. These ships look like junkyard leftovers. There is no way I would pay for any "In App Purchases". Especially in a game with this many issues. 1. The Floating Point Controller doesnt work. It needs to become a Joystick Controller. It needs to remain in a fixed position. Otherwise it gravitates to the far left of the screen and turning left becomes impossible. Just fix it to one spot so its usable. 2. Using the Accelerometer instead of the Floating Point Control is next to impossible. Please change the Floating Point Control to a Fixed Position Joystick Controller. As it stands now, this game is next to impossible to play.

Good game

I really like this game its a great time killer and i have a few suggestions like what if they added a open world mode and you could explore space and find planets and I would like it if they added multiplayer race mode or dog fights and clans thanks

Cool game, poor MFi implementation

Ill just list the issues with MFi support, hopefully theyll be noticed by the developer. 1.) There is no need to have simultaneous MFi and accelerometer controls. It makes it very difficult to play when you have to hold the controller perfectly still. It doesnt make sense. Give us an option to turn it off. 2.) When pressing R2 to fire, the ship also accelerates at the same time. This doesnt happen when using X to fire. The problem is not my controller (moga rebel) as it only happens in this game. 3.) Instead of using the second analog to slide (wth is that for anyway??), how about giving us the ability to rotate, so we have full control of our ship in 3D space? Fix these things, and the game will improve dramatically.

Bad graphics, poor storyline and writing

Expected much more from the game

Very buggy.

Enemies fly through asteroids, you cannot. Backgrounds art is crude and not very attractive. Controls are boring. Bad story line. Etc, etc, etc.

Not recommended game, POOR

The targeting system doesnt work at some time during the game. It took a lot of time to destroy one ship. Doesnt recognize the ship you purchased.

Spacetastic

This is the pocket Wing Commander / X-Wing / Freespace / TIE Fighter game I wanted. Controls and enemy physics feel right, with enough inertia to seem like a space game but arcadey enough that you still have control over your ship. Touch and tilt controls are equally effective, depending on your dexterity and situation. The new mission modes provide the story structure that isnt strictly needed but make this feel more complete than the earlier versions of the game. It has in app purchases, but theyre all optional, there are no nags, and extra purchases are not needed to progress and have fun. The developer has a bunch of tutorial videos and seems to understand what made the old space sims from the 1990s work well. The only thing that really bugs me? The tiny fonts are hard to read on the iPhone and should be changed (though they look great on the iPad).
